Welcome AYSO Region 889 Volunteers!

Here you will find information on the minimum required Online & Instructor Led Courses that each volunteer must complete in order to perform his/her chosen position.  These courses are available through the AYSOU Learning Management System (LMS) - etrainu.

Note: Each Coach Level has it's own set of requirements and strategies.  If you have an Intermediate/14U or Advanced Coach certification, this does not automatically qualify you for a lower level certification.  You must be certified for each level you wish to coach.

AYSO / US Soccer Coach Training Equivalency A cross-certification policy has been created for all coaches who hold a valid coaching license issued by US Soccer. Click here for information on the AYSO/USSF Coach Cross-Certification policy. Click here to download the form.

All Head Coaches & Asst Coaches MUST be registered with AYSO National and certified at the appropriate coach level. This includes the completion of all Safe Haven Courses and any additional courses required for each Coaching level.  A qualified coach must be present with the team at all times along with signed player registration forms, eSignature verification page necessary. Photocopies will be acceptable if the forms have been resigned by parent/guardian. Coaches shall be responsible for the behavior of their spectators and shall promote a positive atmosphere.

  
These Online Coaching and Safe Haven Courses are the prerequisites that you must complete before attending the Instructor Led Courses.

Tip: After you complete each online course you are presented with the course certificate. Please download a pdf copy and keep for your records in the event the course completion was not recorded by the system. Without this proof of completion you may need to take the course again. In addition to saving a local copy of the pdf, you may want to send an email to yourself and attach the certificate so you can find it easily if needed. Use the Subject: AYSO Cert.

AYSO's Summary of the Laws of the Game

This free online module presents a summary of the "Laws of the Game" and is required for all Intermediate/14U & Advanced Coaches.  Alternatively, you could sign up for the Regional Referee course which will give you a greater appreciation for how your fellow Referee volunteers approach the game to keep it safe and fun for our players.  Either course will satisfy the requirement.
